Gramercy Park Cooperative on Lake Shore DriveGramercy Park Cooperative on Lake Shore Drive
This is a lovely, elegant seniors community in Richfield, Minnesota. The website presents the essence of this cooperative community as a conveniently located city highrise with an adjacent nature center and plenty of amenities. Gramercy has an elegance we tried to capture in the banner photo and some stunning common areas that are incorporated into photo galleries and side images. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Women in Construction Company, LLCWomen in Construction Company, LLC
This site's appeal comes primarily from the wonderful images of women working in the construction trade in Duluth. Advances in CSS capability played an important part in the site design which has a "construction worksite" feel to it. The company had image documentation of all of their projects. The impression we were looking for was one of strength, competence and creativity. Rather than showing women posing and smiling, the images show women working hard on construction projects - and, BTW, they look stunning anyway - without even trying.

AngeResourcesANGEResources.com
The ANGEResources site informs and educates interested members of the community about anger and how to manage it. Articles, books, videos, resources and recommendations had to be accessible and appeal visually to an audience with varied objectives. The site incorporates 2 anger self-tests and dozens of articles and essays by the site owners. This site is a valuable resource by itself as well as a portal for taking classes, enrolling in seminars or finding counseling.

Minnesota Alliance of PeacemakersMinnesota Alliance of Peacemakers
The MAP site was originally intended to facilitate communication with and for members. It has also become a resource for the wider community - as well as a portal for new members and a template for other states and communities. The site generates traffic from other countries as well. The site describes the organization, facilitates new membership and keeps users informed of important local events. The MAP original logo was modified for the website to emphasize "overlap." Overlap in the sense that very diverse organizations with differing main objectives can come together here to work on well-defined common goals.

AngeResourcesActionElection.org
Action Election was an effort by a committee of Minnesota Alliance of Peacemakers to produce a short website video focusing on the issues that voters should consider in 2004. The effort grew as time went on and the final production was a 30-minute broadcast video that was shown on several local cable stations. The DVD that was produced also had a 15-minute discussion version of the video and extra interview material. The website challenge was to provide clips, audio, information on the project and how to see or buy the video - on a very low budget. This was a successful experiment in delivering free streaming video with acceptable, but relatively low resolution clips and audio quotes from interviewees. By making the file sizes small, the delivery could be accomplished at a low cost.
