just- world fallacy

Interesting article- most have us have made comments at some point that have supported this way of thinking.  Usually in an attempt to make sense out of a horrible situtation.  Perhaps to show empathy.  However, what comes around does not go around equally.  Just this past weekend I was downtown at the Pride events and was wittness to a random act of violence.  I have no idea of the circumstances leading up to this event.  The common discourse afterward was about how she's gonna get it.  Bad karma, and so on.  Independent of this situation, there had been various conversations throughout the day that were setting off alarms- as to what is knowledge.  Point being, as we have all been activly engaged in sharpening our skills and being more critical in determining what and how we know- we may be more easily recognizing these dangerous was of thinking.
