Establish your presence on the internet.

Here are some links to advice, resources and helpful tips for establishing your presence on the internet:

Domain Registration: I have used Domain Registration Services as my domain registrar since Feb, 2000. They have reasonable rates and have been very dependable and easy to use for me.

A very popular registrar is Verisign (aka Network Solutions). Check them out. More expensive, reliable, but big. Do they have something the others don't? Not that I can tell (besides a slick interface / marketing-saavy design). You be the judge.

Hosting: There are web hosts galore in cyberspace. It is up to you to find one that is right for you. I recommend you secure a host that will provide good technical support, and you can visit in person if need be. Two hosts in Minneapolis that I have done business with and would recommend are Visi.com and Net Acceleration (in my neighborhood).

Web Design and Maintenance: Here are some useful links for learning more about web design, usability and publishing.
