Discussion project on Feminism

Discuss and try to agree on an answer to the following question:

  What is a reasonable goal for the ‘women’s liberation movement’ or for feminism?  Liberal feminists have argued that women will be 'liberated' when liberal principles of freedom and equality apply to women, too.   Do you think that it is enough to win for women the same rights that men already have?  Or should the goal of the women’s movement be to transform our patriarchal society into something different, to transform its structures and organizing principles in a way that reflects the values and experiences that are specific to women (as some radical feminists argue)?  If the latter, what would this look like?
