Ethical Inquiry            Discussion Project on Kant's Ethics, Part 2

Return again to your case.

1.  Consider your case in light of Kant's rule: "Act always so as to treat persons as ends and not merely as means to your ends."

2.  Recall the options for action that you have been considering in your case.  Does this rule condemn any of those options for action?

3.  Can you determine whether or not each option does or doesn't satisfy the rule?

4. Does this way of thinking about what to do seem any better (or worse) than the others we have tried?
