Discuss and try to agree on answers to the following questions:
1. A majority of Michigan voters voted to approve
the amendment (which outlawed affirmative action programs for all public
institutions). What do you think were
the most important reasons that motivated people to vote in favor of the
amendment?
2. What answers could you (or someone)
give to those reasons? How would you try
to make a case that people should really vote ‘no’?
3. Which way would you vote? Why?
